Urban Exploration

Posted in Photography by jasmincormier on December 24, 2007

A couple of weeks ago, I went urban exploring for the very first time with the dinofuck crew and we got into an abandoned church. Of course we all had our cameras and those pictures are what I came up with:

(All images are clickeable and link to a higher resolution version)

This is the main floor of the church, the masses once gathered to pray satan or something.

Experiments with lightpainting.

I wouldn’t drink from that sink…

So that’s pretty much it for now, it took me about a month to finally work on those images, glad it’s done…

these are awesome photos!! which abandoned church? maybe the achivists for whatever denomination might be interested in these…. or a heritage organization trying to drum up some sympathy from the public….

That’s a sound idea, I might check out on this.

As for where it is, it’s a church in st-henri, montreal.

These are some amazing photos and a really awesome find. It looks like graffers got there first – they always do. The lightpainting shot is particularly cool, I’ve never seen that liquid effect in a lightpainting shot before.

Those are very beautiful! I’ve always wanted to go but living in a small town has many disadvantages.
