Aberration: Done (Dinofuck)

The second dinofuck collective project (aberration) is finally over. After months of studies, thinking, re-thinking and laziness, I finally finished my “work”.

This photograph is based on the latest study I had made for the project (which never saw the light of day). At the most basic level It is a mise en scène of a person running in fear reproduced through photographic means before the image was deteriorate and interpolated.

The basis of this image comes from the interogation: “What exactly is an aberration?”. If we ask Wikipedia, we are told that an aberration is either a dire mistake, an unforeseeable technical malfunction or something that goes against logic and common sense.
I tried to illustrate the human reaction to aberrations through the mechanical eye of the camera on which aberrations are forced trough technical processes.

Après des mois de travail, de paresse, d’ébauches et de recommencement, le deuxieme projet dinofuck, aberration, est enfin terminé.

Cette photographie est basée sur la dernière étude que j’ai faite pour le projet (étude qui n’est jamais devenu un produit fini). Au premier regard, l’image présente une mise en scène d’une personne fuyant de peur reproduit en photographie. Photographie à laquelle une dégradation et une interpolation ont été appliquées.

La génèse de l’image vient d’un question. “Qu’est ce qu’une aberration exactement?”.  Si l’on se fie à Wikipedia, une aberration serait soit une erreur, un impondérable technique ou quelque chose contraire au bon sens et à la logique.

C’est ce que j’ai tenté d’illustrer par cette image. La réaction humaine face à l’aberration, à l’écart de jugment, à l’imprévisible et ce, à travers l’oeil mécanique de la caméra auquel on impose une aberration par des anomalies techniques.
